The Lake Park Area Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Center would like to
offer you and your business the opportunity to become a member of our
organization. The Chamber has seen significant growth which could not
have happened without businesses like yours believing in our community.
Mission Statement
Our mission is to serve as the mobilizing force for advancing the
economic, social, and cultural well being of the community. The Chamber
shall strive to achieve its mission by focusing on common goals that
will improve the quality of life in Lowndes County by concentrating on
community awareness, cooperation, and communications.
Membership Benefits and Services
Networking-New Contacts
All Chamber programs and events are designed as opportunities to make
new contacts and strengthen exising ones. Whether is is Business After Hours,
Rise & Shine Breakfasts, Lunch N Learns, or involvement in one of the many
councils or committees, you will have an excellent opportunity to
distribute business cards and promotional flyers to business representatives.
Business Referals-Promotions
The Chamber is asked each day by telephone, mail, and email for
local business referals. Our policy is to refer only businesses and
organizations that are members of the Chamber. Members are encouraged
to provide business cards and other information about their organization
for display at the chamber office.
Publicity and Exposure
The Chamber will provide your business the additional opportunity for
publicity and exposure through our newsletter, Chamber Chatter, which
includes promotions, advertising opportunities, programs and event
sponsorships, directory listings, and business showcases and expos.
Additionally your business will recieve a certificate to purchase radio and
newspaper ads at a discounted rate.
Group Insurance
The Chamber can help address the issue of high insurance cost for
small and medium sized businesses. Receive discounted insurance for
2 to 99 employees on products such as Group Health, Short Term Disability,
Long Term Disability, Long Term Care, Dental, Life, and Workers Compensation.
Tax Deduction
Your dues may be deducted as a necessary business expense.
Member To Member Discount Program
Members are encouraged to offer offer discounted services and products
to other members. Discounts provide free advertising, increased visibility,
and $ales and $avings.
Notary Public
This complimentary service is available to all Chamber members.
Resources and Assistance
The Chamber is a resource for telephone books, statistics, and
up to date census and demographic information.
Community Involvement
Your membership affords you the opportunity to participate on one
of the Chamber committees. Involvement in the Chamber will help
form a more productive and progressive future for
the Greater lake Park and Lowndes County Area.
Professional Development
Through Our relationship with Valdosta Technical College, Valdosta
State university, and the Georgia Department of Industry, Trade, and
Tourism, employer/employee training through workshops and seminars
is offered at little or no cost.
Keeping You Informed
We will keep you informed through blast faxes, personal visits,
seminars, PSA's on local radio and television stations, and through
our bi-monthly peblication, Chamber Chatter.
Grand Openings-Ribbon Cuttings
The Chamber will provide formal/informal ribbon cutting ceremonies
which will be featured in our newsletter, providing additional free advertising.
