The City of Lake Park was incorporated in 1890 and now consists of elected officials, including a Mayor and three Council Members. Appointed officials include the City Clerk, City Attorney, City Court Judge, Police Chief and patrolmen, Fire Chief, Building Inspector, Maintenance Supervisor, the Cross Guards, the Planning Commission, the Recreation Advisory representatives, the Cemetery Committee, and the Zoning representatives.

City Council meetings are held on the first Tuesday of every month at 7:30pm at City Hall, located at 120 N. Essa Street.

Town Hall meetings are held periodically to hear the citizens of Lake Park, to listen to concerns and opinions about any topic concerning the community. Call City Hall at 229-559-7470 for more information.
