Hamilton Jai Alai & Poker

This new jai alai fronton is the first opened in the nation in 27 years. Jai Alai is a fast moving game similar to racquetball or handball imported to the United States from the Basque region of Spain in the 1920s. Players compete by serving a hard rubber ball against a wall. The ball is hurled from a woven curved basket that is strapped to each players serving arm. Players take turn scooping up and serving the ball until one player is unable to scoop the ball and serve it. The facility also offers off track dog betting, poker competitions, and a court side restaurant. The fronton is off of US 129 at I75 exit 451 south of Jasper, Florida. Phone 1-800-941-4841.
