Chamber Involvement Opportunities
Business & Breakfast Committee
This committee will offer quarterly breakfast meetings with
networking opportunities for member businesses. Programs feature
topical subjects directly related to the Lowndes- Greater
Lake Park Area business community there are opportunities for monthly
sponsors to bring awareness and to educate the business community on
their products and services.
Business After Hours Committee
This committee will offer quarterly networking events intended to
bring awareness to a member's business or servise in a mini-
trade show format. These evening events of business networking,
information, and conversation are in a relaxed business atmosphere.
Members can spotlight their business, industry, or services as a host or
serve as a vendor.
Small Business Council
The vision of this committee is to develop programs and events that
will enhance the membership of small business owners. The focus is to make
the Chamber of Commerce more user friendly, to develop resources that
enhance the growth of small business, and to provide an enterprising
netwoking experience for small business owners. This committee coordinates
the Small Business of the Year event and the Small Business Round Table
program.
Community Round Table
This panel will unite small business owners and professional leaders
to create an opportunity for a stronger, better community. This program
provides consultant, advisory, and educational information to assist
small business owners, community enhancement groups, and the Chamber
in taking the necessary steps to create a positive progressive comminity.
This committee meets bi-monthly and is free with your membership.
Social-Educational Committee
This monthly committee will create ways for businesses and concerned citizens to
address the educational and social needs of our community, Businesses,
groups, and concerned citizens can gain exposure within the community
by participating with educators and other community associations to
address quality of life issues. The Workforce Development Center inside
the Chamber office is maintained by this committee.
Business-Economic Development
This committee's goal is to bring a high level of positive attention
and community involvement to the process of enhancement and promotion
of existing industry, and to ensure the future growth and development
of the Greater lake Park Area, and to provide a forum for discussion
and plans for the resolution of community and economic development
issues. The Entrepeneur Network Center at the Chamber office is
maintained by this committee.
Promotions-Special Events
This committee's interest is in the development of promotions and
events designed to intensify the networking opportunities for our area.
Through creation of special promotions and events we will have the
opportunity to showcase our community, thus creating increased
"Heads In Beds" and economic impact for the community This committee is
responsible for the Battle of the Border Softball Tournament, the Chamber
Classic Golf Tournament, the Chamber Shoot-Out, and the Thanksgiving
Charity Classic.
Membership and Marketing
This committee's purpose is to develop methods to increase and
maintain membership through opportunities for participation, program ideas,
and networking. Additionally the objective is to assist the director
in identifying new and creative techniques the Chamber may employ
to meet our growth and expansion goals. This committee is responsible
for the Member-To-Member Discount Program, the Chamber Membership Drive,
and acting as Ambassadors for the Chamber at Press Conferences,
Ribbon-Cuttings, and Media Events.
